Brian Alper - Senior Vice President, Human Resources
Brian Alper is Senior Vice President - Human Resources at Urban Retail Properties, LLC. Mr. Alper has been with the company since 1996 working in many different capacities in human resources. In his current role, Mr. Alper oversees all HR related functions both at the corporate level as well as at the properties and regional offices.
Prior to his Senior Vice President role, Mr. Alper was heavily involved in HR related matters for employees located at the properties. He handled all employee relations issues, recruitment, benefits, performance management, and training. Under his management, the acquisition of new properties has become a well-tuned practice, providing the necessary information for new employees to feel welcome under the management of Urban Retail and to be rapidly integrated into the organization. Mr. Alper also was instrumental in making significant changes to the company’s group health coverage and implementing network based medical and dental plans, as well as implementing some ancillary benefits. Previous to joining Urban, Mr. Alper was a merchandise buyer for Montgomery Ward.
Mr. Alper is a graduate of the University of Kansas where he majored in Communication Studies. He later then obtained a master degree in Human Resource Management and Industrial Labor Relations from Loyola University in Chicago. Mr. Alper also is a member of HRMAC (Human Resources Management Association of Chicago).
