David Neuman - Executive Vice President, Development
David Neuman is an Executive Vice President of Development and has over 20 years of experience in the management, leasing and development of regional malls and power centers. Mr. Neuman joined Urban Retail in 2010 as an Asset Manager to oversee the Oakland Mall complex which consists of 3 assets that include Oakland Mall, Plaza and Square representing approximately 1.9 million sf of retail. Mr. Neuman successfully spearheaded the remerchandising efforts of the Oakland Mall complex and was promoted to Executive Vice President in 2013. His responsibilities have expanded to include development, redevelopment, specific leasing assignments, specific property management assignments, acquisitions, raising debt & equity, and overseeing specialty leasing.
From 2003-2010, Mr. Neuman founded his own development company and successfully developed retail projects that included a 370,000 sf power center anchored by Target and Kohl's in Carlisle, PA. His many relationships included consulting assignments for prominent developers such as O'Neill Property Group out of Philadelphia.
From 1990-2003, Mr. Neuman worked for The Pyramid Company, initially in the accounting department where he eventually became Controller by 1995. Mr. Neuman then moved into the leasing department where he held several executive positions including Director of Leasing and eventually Director of all enclosed one-level malls.
Mr. Neuman is a graduate of Syracuse University with a B.S. Degree in Accounting. He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
