We consider Market Research fundamental to the identification and selection of future development projects; the leasing and marketing of existing centers; the evaluation of expansion and renovation projects; and optimization of overall center performance.

The Market Research Group works closely with development, leasing, marketing and management and provides information necessary for determining the appropriate strategic marketing position, anchor store alignment, and small tenant mix for each managed property. Market Research provides the following services to its clients:

  • Geographic information system (G. I. S.) materials including current and forecast demographic profiles and a comprehensive national mapping capability.
  • Consumer research surveys including shopper intercept studies, telephone market area surveys, and focus group sessions.
  • Competitive retail environment evaluations.

 
Annual updates of all primary and secondary trading area demographic profiles, and associated metro area and national data are provided to center management, leasing, and marketing teams as the basis for strategic marketing and leasing plans.
