Urban’s Development Group implements development projects in both new construction and expansions/renovations. We manage all aspects of the development process including feasibility, design, and construction. Urban Retail approaches these projects from an owner’s perspective with our ultimate goal to increase the value of the property. We accomplish this by being active in all aspects of the development process to ensure that ownership’s dollars are spent wisely and that the project is completed on schedule and on budget.

Urban Retail’s Development Group has completed more than 75 projects. The Group is comprised of a highly experienced staff whose average tenure in the industry exceeds 15 years. Urban assigns a Development Manager to each development project.

The function of the Development Manager is threefold:

  1. To MANAGE the process from the initial feasibility, through design and construction, to project opening.

  2. To be the single POINT OF CONTACT for the client.

  3. To COORDINATE the efforts of the other Urban Departments (i.e. Leasing, Management, Marketing and Tenant Coordination).
