Southland Mall

Opened in 1960, Southland Mall currently boasts 100 specialty and department stores, dining options, movies, fitness and more. Nestled at 20505 South Dixie Hwy. in Miami, Florida, it is the sole enclosed regional mall catering to south Miami-Dade County all the way to the Florida Keys. Easily accessible via Florida Turnpike Exits 11, 12, and 13, the mall witnesses a daily influx of 44,000 cars on US1 and 136,000 on the Florida Turnpike.

Now, this longstanding local icon is undergoing a remarkable transformation, reshaping its narrative into the vibrant Southplace City Center. This upcoming “city-within-a-city” will feature 500,000 SF of retail, and add 5,000 residential units, a hotel, and 60,000 SF of office space.  The community will have a new entrance directly from US 1, adorned with fountains, ample green spaces, bike and golf cart trails, pedestrian walkways, a trolley system, and a footbridge linking it to a new bus rapid transit station.
